Roy Bowen Theatre

The Roy Bowen Theatre is a 200 seat capacity Thrust stage with stadium seating. Named for Roy Bowen, teacher, director, scholar and friend of the university, the theatre was dedicated on April 18, 1999. Roy Bowen, a director at Stadium II, one of America’s first university-community summer theatres (located at Gate 10 of Ohio Stadium) directed over 150 plays in his 60 year career.

In addition to hosting productions by The Department of Theatre, the Bowen Theatre also hosted a week of production of The Daily Show, televised by Comedy Central.
